The young acolyte Lucifer is granted attendance to join in the famed Countrymen’s Concord with his guardian Father Maxwell, accompanied by Father Gabriel and his fellow Countrymen. In transit to the Concord site, the group encounters a delusional Denizen who captures Lucifer but is rescued by Father Gabriel.
